The general public is not aware that when these great dogs are no longer useful to the military or police agencies, they are put to death !

When the Vietnam war ended and our troups were taken out of country, those dogs who had served and saved the lives of hundreds of our solders were left behind to fend for themselves !

Only now are there organizations that demand that these war heros get the recognition they deserve by striving to allow these dogs to be adopted by their handlers or another loving family instead of being tossed on the scrap heap as they have been in the past.
