"Have you ever seen a dream walking? Well, I did!" This old song phrase was repeated by GLADYS BROWN EDWARDS when she first saw Gdansk, only he wasn't
walking he was trotting. This phrase was never more fitting than for the horse coined as "THE HORSE MOST LIKELY TO FLY".
Anyone who has been involved in the Arabian horse industry for any amount of time knows the story of Gdansk.
Son of the great *BASK, imported from Poland by Lasma Arabians in the early 60's, who most assuredly did more for the Arabian horse breed than
any other sire since *Raffles, producing Arabians with size and motion. True athletes. Many of his sons and daughters went on to do well in the 60's and 70's but none could ever outdo Gdansk for sheer beauty in
motion. His Park action was the most correct and exciting ever and never failed to bring the horse show crowd to their feet with cheers and applause.
