Bred by Harry Linden of Spokane, Washington.  Fadjurs dam, Bint Sahara was owned by Mr. Frank McCoy when Fadjur was foaled.  It was at Mr. McCoys ranch that Marge Tone first saw Fadjur after seeing him in this ad.

Jack Tone purchased Fadjur for Marge as a birthday present at 10 months old for a mere $600.00!

Fadjur bred over 800 mares in his lifetime.  All by natural cover and without a halter.  He was a true gentleman to all his mares.

Named a "Living Legend" sire by IAHA.

In 1999 he was voted into the Arabian Horse Trust Hall of Fame for his influence on the Arabian breed.  Also in 1999 Western Horseman Magazine honered him in their book, "Legends of the Arabian Breed".

In 1959 he was top 10 Stallion.  He won 5 US National Top 10 Stallion awards in all.

Fadjur died just before his 31st birthday, having bred mares well into his 30th year!

He is buried at the Jack Tone Ranch and his grave is marked by a beautiful bronze sculpture by Madeline Johnson in a grove of eucalyptus trees planted by Marge Tone when Fadjur was a young colt to give him shade on hot summer days.
